Environmental and OSH Services for Tullow Oil Kenya BV.

1. Lokichar Basin Early Oil Project Drilling and Extended Well Test (EWT) Regulatory Licenses and Permits Review

Carried out comprehensive study of TKBV’s existing licenses and permits for the early oil pilot scheme (EOPS) by the Government of Kenya sector regulators including but not limited to the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA), the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), Turkana County Government (TCG), Directorate of Occupational Safety and Health Services (DOSHS), among others.

The objective was to establish:

• What activities could be done under the existing licenses & permits conditions for the company’s activities in the South Lokichar Fields (Ngamia, Amosing, Twiga, etc.)
• Any additional licenses and or permits that may be required to produce oil at the EPF and truck it by road from Lokichar in Turkana South to Changamwe in Mombasa County.

 

2. Safety and economic study on Progressive Cavity Pump (PCP) Installation, Retrieval & Well Intervention.

Successfully completed the preparation of programs and HSE procedures for Progressive Cavity Pump (PCP) installation, retrieval and intervention and provided a comparison of the used intervention system and an alternative approach using a crane focusing on safety, time to execute, flexibility, and cost for 5 Wells Under EOPS.
